#2 - This design went above and beyond

It's rare that an information-based website stands out to me (looking at you, niche sites). Most have the typical WordPress look and feel.

So I'm always delighted when I come across one with a unique design.

One site I've always liked is PetKeen.

Their design has evolved over the years but it's always stood out from the rest of the crowd.

There's lots about the site I could highlight here - like the footer with pictures of the actual people behind the site, or the satisfying button hover effects.

But what I like most about PetKeen are the unique icons they use for each category:

Aesthetic, and on-point with their brand.
